Just a new Post

Hi guys,
well life is trucking along smashingly up here. The Youth year is just about over, we managed to accomplish our goals for the year so that is encouraging. IN just three weeks we will begin Camp ministry...for only three weeks. It is not a long season up here. After camp, we will hang out for a week. I will likely be doing a whole mess load of Recruiting for the fall. Sarah will likely be hanging out at home getting ready for our big vacation this summer. We are going to fly out on July 20 and return on August 5 man it seems so weird to be taking a vacation. But it will be fun. We are looking forward to being back home in the promised land for a couple weeks. Get a tan, spend som time with friends. Sit around Pat's pool. Some fun...

A NEW POST!!!!!

Well hello to all of our loyal 2.5 followers.

The news is in.....it sounds as though we are going to be able to have the Baby #3 the old fashioned way...not a C-Section. the doctor gave us the thumbs up today so it looks good. Church life is interesting...We have been doing a Sr high bible study on Tuesday nights, thats going good. about fifteen come out for that. Friday nights are our Sr high events nights and we get about the same amount to that. However on Thursday we have a Kraft Dinner lunch for all the high school students...we normally pull about 25-30 to that...we're having trouble getting them to cross over to the other events though. that is something you could pray for. Our Jr youth programming takes place on Thursday nights...usually about 20+ come out to that, however next September that number could go up Drastically as we will be opening it up to include more Elementary school kids. We will see what we will see...won't we. Anyhow...it is hard to believe we only have two more months of ministry until the summer break. time flies when your having fun.

Trials and Tribulations

Hi guys,
Sorry it has taken so long for me to post another post...
It has been a stressful week. Church politics...need I say more? however, it is good to see that God is moving and is at work in our church. However, every time God moves, the other guy tries to disrupt and destroy...such is life. To quote a friend I have yet to meet, "Our battle is not against flesh and blood but against the spiritual...".
Some update information...We went in for the Ultrasound the other day...actually it was yesterday. and we really have no knew information, the placenta is low...but not covering the birth canal, sooooooo, the Doctor will review the info and either recommend either the standard birthing methodology....or a C-Section. The C-Section might be nice because then we could pick the day the baby would be born. Anyhow, we will see what we will see, won't we.

A PRAYER REQUEST

Well greeting all. Another freezing cold day in the arctic...actually I think it was only minus 23 or so today. Anyhow...We have just found out that there may be some minor complications with the pregnancy. Nothing too terribly serious. Turns out baby no. 3 is (or Sarah is) Placenta Previa. or in layman's terms the placenta it too low. Consequently, if it is low enough it could block the birth canal. Likely, (this is my professional opinion) this will result in a C-section...I really don't know for certain. But the Doctor does not feel that there is any real risk to Sarah or the baby, at this point. However, in order to be safe, she has ordered another ultra sound. Please Pray accordingly.

Half way through February

it is tuesday, 6:00pm. one hour till youth starts. Thought I would just take a minute to update the blog. Sarah is really looking forward to going on maternity leave. Actually I am really looking forward to it as well. it pretty much stinks having to juggle the two schedules and figure out babysitters and so on and so forth. but alas, the free/cheap flights will be worth it. our latest scheme...thought...maybe since January is a dead month for youth ministry, maybe next year we should go to Hawaii for a week or two in January? who knows...those cheap flight benefits are nice though...
well my friends, I should go but in the mean time try to picture me here...I'm the guy in the Blue shorts...

monthly maintenance?

Well here I am posting another post on our blog...I thought maybe you guys were starving for another picture of my youngest one...youngest for about another 3.5 months...anyhow, as you can see this Christmas she discovered the joys of chocolate. I have no idea what she's holding...maybe a VHS tape. anyhow life carries on, we just booked our flight to Vancouver yesterday...this would be our summer vacation, we plan to spend a couple days in Vancouver with my dad, a couple days in Kelowna with my mom and a whole bunch of days elsewhere...not too sure where yet. we are hoping that maybe Sarah's bros and maybe sister can meet us in the lower mainland for a little camping excursion...but who knows if that will happen...we are also hoping to go camping with our good friends Gary and Erica...just for the record...I miss the shuswap...Whitehorse is just weird...it is far too busy for my likings. anyhow....we are also looking forward to seeing all of our friends in Salmon Arm this summer...Joel and Katie, Mel, Sherrie, Mel, Stephanie, Meraws, Kelders, Nuestaeters, Parkinsons, Langridges, Wisers, Rick Fletcher...oh do I miss Rick Fletcher...

The Bugslags Are going off line...

Well this is likely the last post I will post from the comfort of my own bedroom. On Monday I am going to get the internet disconnected from our home. We have been evaluating our expenses and have decided that since both Sarah and I have the internet at our respective works...we don't need it at home. But fear not, I will maintain the Blog for all of our loyal readers, all three of you...(awkward silence) anyhow. We have decided that we want to get out of debt, so we are cutting out whatever is not essential...for me that will mean no more morning trips to Starbucks on the way to work...unless anyone out there knows how to justify it as a ministry expense??? Zalinko, can you help me out here? But on a more serious note, I figure we can get out of debt in three or four years...if we can be diligent...and eat only potatoes and water...doesn't sound so bad...perhaps I will hold a nation wide raffle for my yellow Mini Van...

sleeping beauties

Ya, we came home one night after a date, and at some point the babysitter put Catherine down to answer the phone, and when she got off the phone Catherine had crawled into bed with Madison and fell fast asleep. I took a picture when we got home. Yep their cute.

Where did Christmas go?

Well, Christmas has come and gone again. It is always facinating to me how much we look forward to these times only to see them disappear so abruptly. It was a nice Christmas for the Whitehorse Bugslags. The girls had fun and enjoyed their gifts. My great wife is feeling the pregnancy more and more each day. We decided today that we were going to have twin boys this time around...just to make life a little more interesting. We are going in for an ultrasound on Wednesday...remember if it's another girl, I get a dog...though maybe not for a little while yet. Anyhow I had this great picture of sarah and I exposing our bellies (mine was slightly bigger than her's when pushed out all the way) however she forbade me to post it on our blog. So I did what any self respecting man/husband would do...I tucked tail and said yes dear...after all, I would like our marriage to last a few more years yet!
I have no interesting theological insight to post this time around, as I have not been doing any reading over the Xmas Break...I really took the 1.5 weeks off...I just sat around, visited friends, and enjoyed my family! Back to work tomorrow, 9-5 or something like that! I am actually looking forward to getting back into the swing of things. anyhow, much love to all of our friends and family, we miss you all and look forward to see you all again really soon.
